What to build

PRE's three configuration files — the PRE Guest resource, its host-variable overrides, and its inventory entry — live on main, so a rehearsal needs no branch checkout and no restore afterwards. The parked forgejo-pre branch is deleted locally and on the remotes. A hand-run tofu plan in the Guest Stack still describes Prod only: every raw tofu command the runbook shows carries the -target set that selects the Guest in play, so the manual path and the Makefile agree without an environment toggle variable.

This is the prefactor for everything that follows: it removes the parked-branch mechanism (and the broken teardown that belonged to it) before any Target wraps the commands.

Acceptance criteria

  • The PRE Guest resource, its host-variable overrides and its inventory entry are on main; the forgejo-pre branch is deleted on origin and github.
  • A hand-run tofu plan with the documented command proposes Prod only — it does not propose creating or destroying the PRE Guest.
  • Every tofu command in the runbook carries its -target set.
  • The parked-branch rehearsal and teardown sections are gone from the runbook, and the guest_pre variable description no longer references the branch.
  • The glossary's PRE entry stands without the "parked on the forgejo-pre branch" clause.

Blocked by

  • None (can start immediately).
